INVISIBLE
I started my “Invisible” series in 2017 while taking art classes in San Francisco. In this series, I painted homeless people as semi-transparent to represent that they are invisible to many of us, even when we are in their presence. In recent years I’ve noticed a dramatic increase of homeless people in big cities such as San Francisco and London. More recently, the pandemic has caused many people to lose their loved ones, their jobs, and their homes. A house or apartment should be a place where you have peace of mind and enjoy the company of loved ones. In spite of that, capitalism reduces a house to a mere commodity, an asset. It has changed the concept of “home” forever.
